For if he fails, all of New York could be plunged into a devastating gang war.

Collects ASM #78-85

I enjoyed this pocketbook very much. Firstly, the first appearence of the Prowler was very good, and i hope to see more of him in future. The Kangaroo story wasn't too bad, considering i've never heard of him before. The re-appearences of Chameleon and Electro were very good, but too short. The Schemer story was very good, and his secret is a shocker! this is a must-read for any spider-fan

I'd rate this 9/10

Amazing Spiderman : To Crush The Kingpin

In this latest collection of classic tales, Spiderman finds himself battling to stop a mysterious stone tablet from falling into the hands of Wilson Fisk, New York's self-proclaimed Kingpin Of Crime. However Fisk is not the only one who desires the ancient artifact. A relentless swarm of opponents, including the Maggia Boss Silvermaine, also wishes to possess it. But the webbed wonder must find a way to stop them, for if one of his foes is able to decipher the tablet, they will learn a secret so powerful it would make them unstoppable!

Collects ASM #68 - 77

This is a very entertaining pocketbook, its great to see some old gang-war action in the spidey comics. It was also great to see the returns of both Shocker and The Lizard. To Crush The Kingpin is a must-read for all Spidey fans.

I'd give it a 9/10

Amazing Spiderman : The Madness Of Mysterio

Discover more of Spiderman's earliest adventures in this great collection of short tales by comic book kings Stan Lee and John Romita Snr. The Wall-crawler's one man war against crime continues as he battles the likes of the rogue Inhuman, Medusa and not one but two versions of his deadly adversary, the Vulture! But his greatest challenge lies ahead, in the form of an audacious plan devised by Mysterio, the master of illusion. A plan so grand and so unbelievable that it may well lead to the destruction of the webber wonder!

Collects ASM #62-67 and annuals 2 and 5

This pocketbook was a good read. The Vulture and Mysterio stories were the best and very exciting. Annual 5 with the Red Skul was very entertaining, while the annual with Dr Strange was kind of boring.

I'd rate this an 8/10, the second Annaul let it down

Amazing Spiderman : To Kill A Spiderman

This collection of classic web-spinning Spiderman tales feature the return of one of the wall-crawler's toughest foes, the multiple armed menace, Dr Octopus! Hot on his heels is the fabled Amazonian hunter Ka-Zar, closely followed by a mighty robotic Spider Slayer programmed to destroy the webbed wonder. However, an even bigger challenge lies ahead of him in the form of Wilson Fisk, otherwise known as the Kingpin Of Crime.

Collects ASM # 53 - 61

This Pocketbook isn't too bad. I felt the Doc Ock story seemed to drag on a bit too long, but it was very good. The Ka-Zar and Spider-Slayer stories were very good, even though i don't like Ka-Zar very much. The Kingpin story was ok, nothing too special

I'd give this book an 8/10

Amazing Spiderman : The Wings Of The Vulture

This collection of web-slinging stories features your friendly neighbourhood wall-crawler battling it out with Kraven the Hunter, the Vulture, the joint forces of Mysterio and the Wizard, plus the infamous crime-boss, Kingpin. And to make life even tougher for Peter, whilst he tries to rid New york of these gruesome villains, J Jonah Jameson, publisher of the Daily Bugle, is hell-bent on running bad press about Spiderman. Sometimes a Super Hero just can't win!

Collects ASM #47-52 and annual 4

This pocketbook was Ok, not too good but not too bad. The Spidey/Human Torch team-up is a bit boring. The highlight of the pocketbook was the first appearence of the Kingpin, and what an appearence it was

I'd give it an 8/10. The team-up is what let it down

Amazing Spiderman : The End Of The Green Goblin

This collection of fast-paced, arachnid adventures sees ol' Spidey facing some of his most deadly enemies. First up, the grotesque Green Goblin is on the scene and hell-bent on putting an end to his most hated enemy. Next, the Rhino storms in and uses brute strength to create havoc. The Lizard unveils his secret desire and plans to lead a reptilian army to destroy manking. And the Shocker stars in an electrically charged battle against Spidey. Hang on, true believers - this promises to be one heck of a ride!

Collects ASM # 39 - 46

This was a good place to start off the Spidey pocketbooks i feel. The Steve Ditko stories were good, but these were better. Although I do hope they go back and print those stories someday. The GG story was the best, it was just great to see sucha great tale. The first appearences of Rhino and Shocker were great too. The Lizard story was funny because Spidey had to fight with one arm, which i've never seen before.

I'd give the first Spidey pocketbook a 9/10

Uncanny X-Men : Rogue Storm

Continuing writer Chris Claremont's classic run on the Uncanny X-Men, this collection of X-tales features the Children Of The Atom battling some of the world's most deady villains. A situation made a hundred times worse as they have been robbed of their mutant abilities. Powerless, outclassed, and with the very planet at stake, they must find a way to stop him at any cost.
Collects UXM # 144 - 150

This is an ok pocketbook, its nice to see the team act without Cyclops for once. It was also great to see the re-appearences of Havok, Polaris, Banshee and Iceman. Iceman especially since we haven't seen him since the first pocketbook. The stories are, good but the last story with Magneto was the best of the lot.

I'd give this an 8/10, could've been longer
